Murder by Death – The Devil Drives.
I first heard Murder by Death when they opened for Lucero a few years ago. I really dug their stage show and I am almost always a sucker for strings…especially when played by attractive women.
This song has so much going for it – the beautiful crooning, the shutdown to a solo voice – the bizarre party singing ending. It is the perfect way to close out the album and in my mind rivals even ‘Rock N Roll Suicide’ for closers.
